What is Philadelphia Volleyball?
Philly Volleyball is a non-profit sports club that hosts volleyball events in the Philadelphia region.
We are founded by players, for player. Since it's inception, Philly volleyball has been volunteer led and member funded, striving to provide opportunities for players to come together, socialize, and enjoy the game in a fun and competitive atmosphere.
We specialize in running pickups volleyball, but also offer opportunities for competitive play, and host leagues and tournaments, and generally be the hub for adult volleyball in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia is a growing volleyball city. We are excited to be part of this growth by welcoming more to the game we love.
Our Story
In 2015, Dan Elliott hosted his first pickup volleyball event. This pickup event became a weekly event. When turnout quickly reached capacity every week, it was clear there was lots of demand for volleyball. The weekly event became a biweekly event, and then added a second location, and continued to expand. In 2016, Dan changed the group's name to Philadelphia Volleyball, and continued to add more hosts, more location, and more events.
While pickup events have remained a core focus of the group, Philadelphia Volleyball has continued expanding to offer more ways for players to enjoy volleyball. In 2018, Philadelphia Volleyball hosted our first tournament, The Philadelphia VolleyBRAWL, followed soon after by our first league in 2019.
Now a 501c7 non-profit club, we host 15-25 weekly pickup events around the city (and nearby suburbs), quarterly leagues, and a summer tournament series.
Our programs
Philly Volleyball started out running pickup events with a small group of friends. While pickup volleyball is still our most popular program, but we have expanded our programs to offer more ways to play.
Get invovled
Throughout our existence, Philadelphia Volleyball has been organized and funded by our members. We depend on our dedicated group of volunteers and community organizers to run events and insure that Philly Volleyball stays an amazing and welcoming place.
